Sustainability Report

Nordic Fish Group has published its Sustainability Report

Our goal is for all our operations to be responsible and aligned with the principles of sustainable development. The vision of the Nordic Fish Group, which includes Nordic Trout and Kalaneuvos, is to be the most responsible actor in sustainable fish farming and processing. We aim to promote open dialogue about responsible fish farming and share our expertise and knowledge.

Sustainability and Responsibility Reports

In May 2024, the Nordic Fish Group published Finland’s first responsibility report in the fish farming industry. The report was a significant milestone, as it was the first of its kind both for Nordic Trout and for the Finnish fish farming sector as a whole. The report covered Nordic Trout’s environmental and social responsibility, as well as corporate governance practices, for the year 2023.

Since then, reporting has been carried out annually. In accordance with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the reports provide a comprehensive overview of fish farming and fish processing from the perspectives of climate, water pollution, workforce, and business operations.

The sustainability reports also present concrete measures taken by the Group to mitigate climate change, adapt to its impacts, and prevent pollution. In addition, the reports describe the impacts, risks, and opportunities related to the Group’s workforce and business activities.
