Nordic Fish Group has published its sustainability report

What does responsibility look like at Finland’s largest player in the fish industry?

On June 27, 2025, the Nordic Fish Group published its 2024 sustainability report for the fish farming and processing industry. The report, which follows the requirements of the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), provides a comprehensive overview of fish farming and processing from the perspectives of climate, water pollution, workforce, and business operations.

The vision of the Nordic Fish Group is to be the most responsible actor in sustainable fish farming and processing.

Through the sustainability report, concrete measures are presented to limit and adapt to climate change as well as to prevent pollution within the Group. The report also outlines the impacts, risks, and opportunities related to its own workforce and business activities.

The report is unique, since it is the very first report of its kind for both Nordic Trout and in the entire Finnish fishing industry. The report includes information about Nordic Trout’s environmental responsibility, social responsibility and management for 2023.

The report was published on Finland’s National Fishing Day, which aims, among other things, to promote diverse fishing methods and use of fish.
